✨Tip Tuesday ✨

Today’s tip: what should you wear to your session?

The right outfit can make all of the difference! Here are a few tips to help you choose looks you’ll love for years to come!

🩷 Wear something that feels like you: trends come and go, but your personality never goes out of style. Choose outfits that make you feel confident and comfortable.

🧡Stick with colors that complement your skin tone: neutrals, earth tones, soft, pastels, and rich jewel tones photograph beautifully if you love patterns, keep them subtle, so YOU stay the focus!

💛 Make sure it fits well: clothes that are too tight or too loose can be distracting in Photos. Try everything on before your session so you know you’ll feel great!!

💚 Don’t forget your shoes: they might show up more than you think! Pink shoes that match your outfit in the vibe of your session. You can also bring an extra pair for comfort, especially if there is walking or hiking involved during your session.

💜Bring layers: a denim jacket, cardigan, blazer, cardigan, or flannel!
I mentioned previously, it’s also a great way to transform an outfit and give you multiple looks!

✨ plan 2-3 outfit outfits with variety. Think, casual, dressy, and something that shows off your hobbies or personality.

Most importantly, if you feel confident in what you’re wearing, it’ll show in every single photo.

Sharing my favorites from my recent family session.
This one is special. Photographing family is always such a joy, esp when it’s your own nieces and nephews. As you can tell we had lots of fun. Everyone got updated portraits, and pictures with the family.

📸 Tip Tuesday: Your skin doesn’t have to be perfect.
Breakouts? Uneven tan? Dry skin? Don’t panic!

Life happens, and so does skin. Here are a few tips to help you look and feel your best before your session:

✨ Skip the last minute self-tan: if you’re planning to tan, do it 2-3 days before your session so it has time to settle into a natural looking glow.

✨ Avoid trying new skincare products: the week before your shoot. New products can cause unexpected irritation or breakouts.

✨ Keep your skin hydrated: moisturized skin photographs beautifully, so drink plenty of water and use your regular moisturizer.

✨ Don’t pick at blemishes. It may be tempting, but picking can make redness and healing more noticeable. A little concealer goes a long way!

✨ remember: retouching is available! Temporary blemishes, scratches, or bruises can often be soft during editing while still keeping you looking like YOU!

The most important thing? Don’t let her break out or skin concern. Keep you from making memories your smile, confidence, and genuine moments will always matter more than perfect skin.
