The Board of Director (me) got exhausted with the ornery behavior from Photo editor I Skip and Photo assistant II Rizzo. Cheese tax demands have skyrocketed while production has plummeted.

In accordance with Piotrowski Studios bylaws, I am announcing effective today that Beulah, Miss B(left), will oversee day-to-day business as our new Director of Operations.

We are pleased to bring her aboard into the Piotrowski Studios family for however much time we have with her.

We busted Captain out of Effingham County Animal Shelter and Control for an afternoon of walkies. He is love in a compact package.

Captain has spent wayyyy too long in the shelter and needs a ship without small animals and kids to command.

Congratulations to Effingham High School alumnus and current Missouri pitcher, Josh McDevitt, on being drafted by the Arizona Diamondbacks today.

The Arizona Diamondbacks select RHP Josh McDevitt (Effingham, 2023; Missouri) with the 116th pick.

McDevitt was our No. 19 ranked prospect in the state.

I learned early on in my post-photojournalism career that I needed to be either a picture taker or a visual storyteller.
It came down to this:
🎯 Pictures document what happened. Stories preserve what it felt like.
🎯 A photo captures a moment. Visual storytelling connects the moments.
🎯 Stories are built through connection, not poses. Trust preserves them.
This became the cornerstone of my photojournalism career and continues to guide every senior session today.

All skill levels of soccer are welcome for our Unit 40 Youth Soccer Camp! Players will work on ball control, passing, shooting, defending, general soccer skills, soccer IQ, and goalkeeping.
