a DeBenedetto Caterino (Mom of Anthony John, "A.J.") and Julie O’Callaghan-Richardson (Mom of twins Chase David and Kenley Blake), who met at a local support group, The HOPE Group, after suffering the loss of their children. Christine, Jeana and Julie’s Angels brought them together and in their memory The A.C.D.K HOPE Foundation was created. STAND FOR? "A", for A.J. (Jeana's son), "C", for Chase (Julie's son, and twin of Kenley), "D", for Dakota (Christine's daughter) and "K" for Kenley. (Julie's daughter and twin of Chase). Why did we separate twins Chase and Kenley? Simply because when deciding the order of our initialS we decided to make it alphabetical. Everything we do is for our children, and The A.C.D.K. Hope Foundation is dedicated in their honor. We thank our children for many reasons in their short time on this earth. A.J., Chase, Dakota and Kenley touched the lives of so many and taught us more than many people strive to learn in a lifetime. Hope Foundation is part of their legacy. We move forward, in their honor, and because of them we're able to help countless families in their journey of grief. MORE ABOUT WHERE JULIE, CHRISTINE and JEANA MET:
The HOPE Group, a baby loss forum for bereaved parents. The HOPE Group was founded over 30 years ago by Rindy Huebner and provides peer support for parents who have suffered the loss of a child through miscarriage, stillbirth, or neonatal death. HOPE ("H"eping "O"ther "P"arents "E"ndure) provides meaningful and caring methods of dealing with the crisis of the death of a child and has helped countless families in their grieving process. The members of The HOPE Group want to help other parents endure those empty days, months and years because they know how hard they are. Hope Foundation’s mission:
1)A large portion of the proceeds will go to fund the creation of A.C.D.K Hope Foundation Memory Boxes for local hospitals. Memory boxes are commonly provided to parents after the loss of a baby. Hope Foundation Memory Boxes will contain disposable cameras, photo album/frame, knit hat/blanket, poems, books and literature.
2)To give back to The HOPE Group to help alleviate expenses related to newsletters, reading materials as well as memorial service expenses.
