Happy International Women’s Day!!

Last night I lost my hero. Our Superman as he was nicknamed.
My dad was an fascinating man, brilliant man who took what life threw at him and conquered it all.
He was an Olympian in equestrian, he was a pilot, a racecar driver, a hunter, a photographer, a fisherman and diver and so many other things. He would master everything he set his mind on doing. Again, brilliant. He lived everyday like it was his last. He had a thirst for life that was unquenchable.
When I was young, and throughout my entire life, I would follow him wherever he went, fascinated with everything he did. He taught me and my sister that life is an adventure, a gift to be enjoyed. To never take it for granted and to never ever say the words “ I can’t” those two words did not exist in his vocabulary. I did not inherit his IQ of 150 (lol) but I definitely inherited his adventurous spirit. He was married to the love of his life, mom, for 62 years and friends since they were kids.
Thank you dad, it has been a privilege being your daughter, we will miss you forever.
