My newborn sessions aren’t for everyone.

And honestly? That’s kind of the whole point.

They were built with a specific kind of mom in mind. The mom who already knows how fast this all goes. Who understands that these days are numbered and wants proof that they happened.

The mom who wants photos that are polished, but real. Elevated, but not stiff. Beautiful, but still completely, unmistakably hers.

The mom who doesn’t want to figure it out alone. What to wear. Where to go. How to prep. When to book. She wants someone who has done this a thousand times to just tell her what to do while trusting it will be beautiful.

If you’ve been thinking about booking a newborn session but something’s been holding you back — let me help. 👇

The most common things I hear before booking:

“What if my baby doesn’t cooperate?”
My sessions are completely baby-led. We go at their pace, take all the breaks we need, and let the moments unfold naturally. You’d be surprised how beautifully it all comes together. Plus I have a few tricks to help settle baby!

“I have no idea what to wear.”
You don’t have to figure that out on your own. Studio Brae has a curated wardrobe ready for you — for mama, baby, and the whole family. If you’d prefer to use your own closet, I help with that too!

“I don’t even know when to book if I don’t know when baby will be here.”
We actually secure your spot by your due date, not your baby’s birthday. I keep my calendar flexible so that when baby arrives, we’re already planned and ready to go.

A maternity session isn’t about everything feeling perfect or “just right”.

It’s about showing up — exactly as you are. Bump, emotions, personality. And letting someone who genuinely loves this work (me!) make something beautiful out of exactly where you are right now.

This mama came in with so much joy. We laughed a lot! We moved a lot! And somewhere in the middle of all that, we made images that feel exactly like her and exactly like this season.

That’s what I want for every person who walks through my doors.

Tbh, couldn’t have said that a year ago…

This past year or walking through my husband’s cancer diagnosis, I’ve grown.

I’ve learned life is fragile. I’ve learned life can quite literally change at the drop of a hat. And I’ve learned that being so focused on me, my business and my family… that’s where the joy really is.

So this year, I’m proud to say I’m staying in my own lane. Because it’s really really freaking great over here 🥹
