My MIL just bought a new house and this was on the wall. We're pretty sure the top holds keys, but does anyone know what that bottom post is for? We can't come up with any ideas. It's by the back door in the kitchen/dining room. Thanks in advance my dull friends!

To me after nearly 30 yrs of marriage, hot cross buns have to be toasted and buttered. Not only has my hubby not toasted but only buttered one side! Who else agreeds this is totally wrong... he doesn't give a fig!

I worked in Woolworths about 20 years ago, and the ancient tills were never able to scan the Cadbury Creme Egg bar code. It happened so often that I memorised the code at 50201600.
Every year since, I have taken great pleasure in helping those manning the tills when I have been buying a Creme Egg treat, by repeating this bar code thus saving them time.
Only once has someone said “wow”, until today, when I repeated this to myself when I successfully entered the code at the self-scan till.
Proof that 2 things have not changed in 20-years of development and progress… Cadbury Creme Egg bar codes, and the ability of a bar code scanner to decipher the 50201600 code.
No banana for scale. Sadly the music being played for the shoppers was Fleetwood Mac, and not Toto’s Africa.

So last night, this delicious bag of Uncle Bens Spicy Mexican rice was cooked then opened......what is it??? It isn't rice ?? It's one solid soft lump......its not an inner liner as I compared it to another pack..
No banana...just a sick feeling in my stomach

I live at 6400 feet elevation. The nearest grocery store (8 miles away as I drive around ranch land, but probably only 5 miles as the crow flies) is at 5900 feet. Sometimes on the way home (all uphill) a chip bag will inflate like a balloon and pop in the car. Sometimes a refrigerator biscuit tin will bust. Sometimes it just gets pressurized and the slightest touch sets it off later when unbagging. You get the picture. The air is thinner up here and the pressure change affects food packages. It's fairly routine.
Today I experienced something new. I bought a jar of marshmallow fluff for my boy- not something I ever buy. When he tried to open the inner seal, it quickly came extruding out. He tried another side in order to get a less sticky grip and then it was shooting out of the other side too. (Thusfar, shoes and bananas have not been affected by our regular changes in elevation.)

In the big picture of life that it is, I doubt that my 15yrs of marriage to who I now consider a very strange man has little significance. However tonight I found myself doing the exact same thing that he used to do, which drove me quite nuts at the time!! … He would (or would ask me to) make him beans on toast, a fairly British, usual random snacky type thing. For extra zazz we’d buy beans & sausage 🤣 However his instructions were very precise in preparing this random (every house has a tin in) kind of snack/meal type thing. The toast must be cold before buttering, the beans must NEVER touch the toast. If he was in a rush he’d toast the bread and when it popped up out of the toaster he’d wave it around the kitchen!! Like some sort of air traffic controller 🙄 Yet I tonight have found myself doing the exact same thing!!! …. 🙄…. Well after some due deliberation and now that I’ve come to my senses the next time I make beans ON toast, yes it’s actually supposed to be beans ON toast, I’m going to drown the toast and bloody enjoy it!! … The next picture you see of my beans ON toast will actually be ON my toast!! 😝 Cheshire Uk Shoe 7 and yes very happy to be divorced!! 🤣 Sadly no bananas they b**g me up 😝

I am sharing a photograph of the food bowl of my cat, Phil, after I've refilled it and he's eaten his first meal. His morning routine is to eat exactly one-third of his food for breakfast. It always appears as though he has measured it with a ruler and eaten only the prescribed amount. He doesn't have access to my ruler, nor does he have the means to purchase one or the thumbs with which to hold it. I live alone with him and I did not touch his food.

Phil is a very fit and self-disciplined cat with no sign of expansion in the waist that you often see in a 4-year-old feline.

The darker kibble is rabbit, as chicken and beef make Phil itch. The lighter kibble is the tiny amount of chicken that he can eat without scratching. He loves the chicken kibble so much that I cannot bring myself to refuse it to him entirely. You can see just how disciplined Phil is--he has left some of the beloved chicken kibble in the bowl for his two later meals.

This is my first post and I apologize if the idea of rabbit kibble is exotic enough to excite anyone's sensibilities.

57F, size 8. Sorry for the lack of banana, as the only banana I currently possess is in bread and the size of the loaf would likely have left you with more questions than answers.
