Headed out to Barr Lake with Lisa Young Murphy this morning for a little bird walk. Beautiful morning when we got there, ridiculously hot when we finished! There is definitely not a lot of shade out there!

The water level is super-low right now, so we were nowhere near the water's edge, even walking out on the gazebo boardwalk which usually takes you out over the water. Some of that area is now just dirt and sand, but a lot of it is now a huge expanse of plant growth. So even without the water, there was a lot to see today.

First senior portrait session of the year! Kicking things off this season with Jameson from Legacy High School. Jameson wanted some photos with buildings, plus some nature photos with a mountain backdrop. In order to squeeze those into the same session, we decided to shoot a CU for a bit, then head over to the South Mesa Trailhead. Then, at the very end, we took a quick drive up to an overlook on Hwy 93, and hoped for a good sunset. Unfortunately, the sunset was a bit of a letdown. But overall it was a fun, if EXTREMELY hot, photo session.

It's seems early, but I actually just started doing sports photos for the upcoming 2026-27 school year today! Kicking things off with Senior Banners for the Legacy HS Softball team! I met them out at the school before their morning practice. Getting into the school during the summer isn't easy, so we found a nice spot that was in the shade just long enough to get the photos done.

The banner design looks great, and I can't wait to share some photos of them hanging up on the fence in the next week or so!

I'll also be doing their full Team & Individual photos once they have tryouts and get the teams sorted out. Stay tuned!

Very hot day at the Rocky Mountain Arsenal National Wildlife Refuge! Unfortunately, I had to wait until today's stage of the Tour de France was over, so we got out there a little later than usual. All these photos are from the hike around Lake Ladora.

Getting close to the end of another season of Short Track MTB racing at Valmont Bike Park! Next week will be the final event of this season! I was out there once again this week for another fun night of racing. BJC switched it up a bit this week, adding in a Fixie category during the Men's C race!

After the stormy weather of the last few weeks, we were treated to a sunny, hot and dry session of the Valmont Short Track series last night at Valmont Bike Park. Great to see lots of racers embracing last night's "Tutus and Tank-Tops" theme!
