Tonight's full moon is a bright yellowish-orange, possibly because of the wildfire smoke in the upper atmosphere. I was busy writing book two and stood up to stretch, saw the moon, grabbed my camera and ran out to capture a photo. Only shot two or three before the mosquitoes deprived me of a pint of blood.

The clouds to the south of us are just fascinating tonight! I heard there are tornados on the ground and warnings to the southeast of us. I hope everyone stays safe!

I was watching as the storm rolled in last night and as the pink lightning started dancing across the sky, I couldn't resist. I grabbed my camera and tripod and ran out to my back deck. Was I safe? Umm, no...Even though the storm was about 10 miles away and moving in fast, lightning can travel 25-40 miles horizontally if powerful enough. But it was a calculated risk I was willing to take and I'm sure glad I did! The sheer power and beauty of nature is mesmerizing and breathtaking! 😍

Yesterday's book signing at Aroma Cafe was a huge success! I enjoyed chatting with everyone so much. A big thank you to everyone that took time out of your busy summer weekend to stop in and support me! I appreciate you all so much and am so glad I live in such a great community.
My book Heart of Stone is now available at both the Gilman and Thorp Public Library and the librarian from the Owen Public Library picked up a copy too. This has truly been an amazing journey! 🧡📖
My next book signing event will be on June 17th at the Gilman Public Library during their Farmer's Market, 4 PM - 6 PM.
