12 years of loving each other. And this past weekend, Tiffany and Jacob finally got to say “I do.” 🤍

There’s something so special about a wedding day that’s been 12 years in the making.

They wrote their own vows, and as they stood across from one another reading them, there were a few happy tears from both sides. After 12 years of building a life together, they were finally getting married. And you could feel just how much that moment meant to them.

Between the rich fall colors, gorgeous florals, and all the character of The Mez, their day was absolutely beautiful. But my favorite part? The way these two look at each other. All those years together, and they still have that can’t-stop-smiling, make-each-other-laugh kind of love.

Tiffany and Jacob, thank you for letting me be a small part of a moment you’ve waited so long for. Here’s to the next 12 years, and all the beautiful ones after that. ❤️

My second shooter took some behind the scenes videos today, and I keep coming back to them.

I often think about how incredibly lucky I am to do what I do.

People invite me into some of the most important days of their lives. They trust me with moments they can never get back. They let me into their love stories, their families, their traditions, and all the little details they’ve spent months (sometimes years) dreaming about. And if you know me, you know I’m an absolute sucker for a good love story.

But it’s more than that, too.

It’s walking into a wedding and hearing another vendor say they’re excited to see me because they know we’ll work well together. It’s the friendships I’ve made with people in this industry. It’s knowing that I’ve built a reputation for being someone people can count on, especially on days when everything doesn’t go exactly as planned. I don’t take any of that lightly.

Every wedding is different. Every couple has a story. Every little detail has meaning to someone. And somehow, I get to be the person who helps preserve it all.

It’s easy to get caught up in the hustle of running a business, the editing, the emails, the long days, and everything in between. But after every wedding, event, and session, I try to take a moment and reflect on what it’s all about.

The people. The stories. The trust. The memories.

I really, really love what I do. And I hope I never lose sight of how special it is that I get to do it.

I know, I know. It’s only October. But before we know it, we’ll be scrambling for Christmas gifts, decorating trees, and realizing we haven’t taken a decent family photo all year. 😅

Some people are just proof that forever can be a really beautiful thing. 🥹

36 years of marriage, and these two still laugh together like they're falling in love for the first time.

I don't think I've ever heard so much laughter during a session. They were joking, teasing each other, and genuinely just having the best time together. And I couldn't help but think the entire time, this. This is what I want.

Not just 36 years of marriage, but 36 years of friendship. Of choosing each other. Of finding reasons to laugh together even after all those years.

Because at the end of the day, I don't just want someone to grow old with. I want someone I can stay silly with, too.

36 years down, and these two are still having fun together. If that's not relationship goals, I don't know what is. ❤

Fall is officially creeping in, the leaves are starting to change, and my calendar is already looking a wild.

If you’ve been thinking about booking outdoor fall photos this year, now is the time. I have EXTREMELY limited availability left, with only THREE weekend dates open for outdoor sessions for the rest of 2026.

I also will not be taking any December sessions this year because I’ll be spending most of the month photographing Santa at Children’s Wonderland.

So if fall family photos, couples photos, updated portraits, or just an excuse to take advantage of the pretty leaves has been on your list, please don’t wait too long to reach out. Once those last three weekend dates are gone, that’s it for outdoor weekend availability this year.

I’m going to be brutally honest: these minis were a bust.

I opened four Highland Cow Mini Session spots for Thursday, and I booked one…

And as someone who owns a business, it’s really tempting to just quietly delete the posts, pretend it didn’t happen, and move along to the next idea. Because social media tends to show you the “SOLD OUT!!!” graphics — not the things we were excited about that just… didn’t sell.

But this is also what owning a small business looks like sometimes. You can have something that people loved in the past, bring it back thinking it’ll be a no-brainer, and hear crickets.

My social media reach has been rough lately. The economy is rough. Everyone has a million things competing for their money right now. And sometimes, even if people love an idea, the timing, price, date, or circumstances just aren’t right.

I get it.

So instead of being stubborn about it, I decided to adjust.

I lowered the price of the smaller package to $150 (was $175) AND added 5 more images to it. I also dropped the upgrade to receive all of your edited images by $75, making that option $200 (was $275).

Same cows. Same cuteness. Same experience. Same amount of work and love going into your photos. Just a better deal because, frankly, I’d rather fill these spots and spend Thursday evening taking adorable photos and making memories with Highland cows, even if it means losing a little money on it.

There are three spots left: 6:15, 6:30, and 6:45 on October 8.

Apparently my career path was just a checklist of things adults told me not to do as a child.

Talk to strangers? Constantly.
Stare at people? Professionally.
Boss people around? With very specific instructions about where to put their hands.
Spend irresponsible amounts of money on toys? They’re called business expenses now, MOM 🙄😂

Turns out breaking a few childhood rules worked out pretty well for me 🤷🏻‍♀️
