There is something that happens when a woman stops trying to make herself smaller.
Her shoulders drop.
She breathes differently.
She stops tugging at her clothes.
She starts moving instead of hiding.
And eventually she looks at me and says something like,
"Wait… I actually look GOOD."
YES.
THAT.
That's what I want for you.
Not because I need you to suddenly love every inch of your body.
You don't have to.
You can still have insecurities.
You can still have days where the mirror pi**es you off.
You can still be working on your relationship with your body.
But you deserve photographs that remind you that your body is not something you have to apologize for.
Your softness isn't a flaw.
Your stretch marks aren't a flaw.
Your belly isn't a flaw.
Your scars aren't a flaw.
Your cellulite isn't a flaw.
And you sure as hell don't need to earn the right to be photographed.
Take up the damn space.
