One year ago, our lives looked very different.
In the middle of packing up our home and preparing for a new chapter, we found out we were expecting our third baby. Lots of mix emotions packing and leaving the comfortable life we had built but we knew it was something we had to go for.
Once settled and a time that should have been a season of excitement quickly became a season of uncertainty when we unexpectedly found ourselves needing to pack up everything and move. Thankfully my family opened up their home while we figured out our next move.
With a growing family and no clear plan, we searched for a home in the Northwoods area we had fallen in love with. We weren’t ready to give up on the dream we’d been building—a slower pace of life, more time together as a family, and a place to put down roots.
After countless phone calls, house tours, and late-night conversations, we found a place that allowed us to stay close to the land where we hoped to build our future.
Since then, life has been a whirlwind.
We moved once again. We welcomed our beautiful baby girl into the world. We started building community. And while balancing work, parenting, and all the chaos that comes with three little girls, Elijah began turning our dream into reality—clearing acres of forest, building a driveway, and eventually digging the foundation for the home we plan to build with our own hands.
Some days have felt impossible. Some days have been incredibly rewarding. Most days have been a mix of both.
Looking back, it’s amazing how much can change in a year.
We’re grateful for every client, friend, family member, and neighbor who has supported us along the way. Thank you for being part of this journey.
