Don’t cringe when I mention Christmas when we are still in July, because photographers have to plan and book venues months in advance. If we snooze… we lose on a possible location. Where would you want to go for a family session? Any specific place in the Greater Houston area?

10 month old twins 😂😂😂 The job requires 2
baby wranglers because they were sooooo mobile. We had to turn on a couple fans because it got so hot in the studio space. I don’t know how twin parents get anything done! How do y’all get any sleep?

This is the first time l am putting one of my seamless backdrops in my car. I have no idea if it’s going to fit... I used to have an SUV but recently downsized to a sedan. I have something big the next couple days where I’m gonna be photographing around
30 Houston babies and will be bringing my
portable studio. A little wave of panic hit me because l’ve never used this newer vehicle to transport studio equipment. But, good news …. my little Camry is compatible with my savage backdrop. It’s gonna work out just fine.

How much does your baby weigh? Before every newborn session, I ask the parents how much the baby weighs. It helps me to prepare for the session knowing how big baby is to make sure the props I have in mind will work for the baby. A 5 pound baby will fit into certain props better than a 10 pound baby. My own “biggest “ baby was my daughter at 7 pounds 13 ounces.

Some of my headbands for my baby girl, newborn sessions have delicate flowers and very tiny pieces that need to be kept in a safe spot. I’ve been organizing headbands and tiebacks for the last two hours. I didn’t know it was going to be a big time investment ..and still have more to do.
Chocolate and music will help me get through! I’Il post a video of the studio once I’m done with all the updates and new things.

After every newborn baby session, I clean the studio after parents leave. Sometimes items like : blankets, pacifier, cell phones, etc. are left behind. I always let the parent know as soon as possible that something was found … but these hospital blankets never get picked up. Parents tell me to keep them. I wash them and put them to good use. I fold them to make a soft little nest inside of baskets when posing newborns.
