Took a 35-minute drive to Burlingame, KS, only to find out there were just 3 mower entries at what was supposed to be a big lawn mower barrel racing event. There was a pretty good crowd, and honestly, everyone seemed pretty disappointed.

I almost scrapped the footage altogether, but then I figured… I might as well have some fun with it. 😂

This is a pretty accurate representation of how my brain works. 😬🤣

There were several benefits to using a faster-than-normal shutter speed at the event I was working. It helped with the harsh midday sun while keeping fast-moving people sharp and in focus, making it much easier to capture the energy of the event. 📸

I’ve only been doing photography for a little over a year now, and one of the most interesting parts of the journey has been my interactions with other photographers.

Some have been downright rude, but several have been incredibly welcoming and laid back—like my dude Keith Horinek here. 🙂

I’m not intimidated by photographers who might be more established or better than me. They only inspire me to keep learning, improving, and becoming a better photographer myself. If you see me at an event, feel free to come say hi! 👋🏻

Not entirely sure what they are doing to West Ridge Mall but the kids and I stopped by for a second to watch. Kuddos to the operator who used the machine to wave at them 👋🏻🙂.

While doing photography for TAP THAT - A Capital Brew Festival , I was able snap this photo of the world famous Topeka Art Banana. From what I read online the banana was recovered at the event and returned to its owners down the street. The sunglasses and drink holder were a hilarious touch 😎🍌📸 😀
