Oh man... I just realized that the Ren Faire photo contest has already finished accepting entries. Last year Gar Travis was the one who encouraged me to enter the contest... He even told me how to crop my photo that ended up winning first place for the romance category. It breaks my heart to think that he won't be wondering the shire with me and our fellow photographer pals this year. He will be there in spirit, I know. He inspired me as a photographer more than I can ever explain. This year faire won't be the same, but I will try my best to capture moments that I hope Gar would be proud of. I'll never forget the tips, the tricks and the encouragement Gar gave me. Cheers to you, Gar, an amazing photographer and amazing person, thank you. RIP

I'm so excited! I won First Place in the Romance category for the So Cal Ren Faire photo contest! This was my first time entering a photo contest and I'm so giddy that I actually won something for the first time in my life! Haha... I'm so excited for faire to start and I can't wait to take more pictures! Who's ready for faire?!?! :)
