How is it possible that the sweet little newborn I photographed last year is already ONE?!

I’ve been photographing this family for years ( always with their little dog along for the pictures!) The weather wasn’t exactly on our side that morning, but we still managed to sneak in some family photos before celebrating this little cowboy’s first birthday with some cake.

Getting to watch my families grow through the years is definitely one of the best parts of this job!

There’s something about morning light that feels a little different.

We spent an hour running, jumping, playing, laughing, and mostly just following the lead of one very loved little toddler. And in between all of the movement and silliness were these tiny moments ... the way they look at him, the way he reaches for them, the laughter, the cuddles, and all the goodness that makes up their little family of three.

Because soon, there will be four.

A new baby will join them, their hearts will grow, and life will find a brand new rhythm. But for one morning, we got to freeze this chapter exactly as it is right now.

Just the three of them. 🤍
