⚡️lightning lit up the sky the other night⚡️
I’ve been a bit MIA this year & I finally have the gumption to explain.
The year started out ROUGH.
I rushed out of Montana on the 5th of January to visit my Papa who had just been put on hospice. I stayed until February 10th - the 9th is his birthday (also our upcoming wedding date…maybe you see the correlation now). Things improved a ton for him while I was there & leaving was not easy.
Josh dealt with our old house & Montana winter during that time. Thankfully we have great friends in town so when Josh left to drive back with me .swainson & .nelson popped in day & night to keep the fire stoked & check on things for us. So grateful for them. 🤍
2 weeks after I returned, my dear friend & coworker passed. She only lived a few doors down, her presence was beautiful inside & out, my drive around the block, work & time after work was never the same after that. Emotionally & mentally I was torn up. If it wasn’t for getting some Cali sunshine during our harshest part of winter I think it would have been even worse.
& of course, we are planning a wedding. My mom & grandma came in March to do some wedding planning. We remodeled our other bathroom. My bachelorette was in May, Josh’s parents came shortly after that & then Josh had his bachelor weekend.
Theres so much in between I’ve left out too but now here we are, 6 months away from our wedding date & things feel like they are starting to settle down.
I’ve done a handful of shoots with returning clients I love but haven’t had the courage or desire to post anything. I redid the website & have slowly started picking up my camera more to just be creative.
Wild Ace Photography has been in the back seat this year while I focus on healing, planning & being present. I’m now ready to start booking families, seniors, couples & adventures that want their story told through the lens. I can’t promise I’ll be posting more but I’m still here. Thanks yall.
