BHS Volleyball vs Whitehall

The Lady Bulldogs had their 2nd home match of the weekend Saturday afternoon, hosting the Whitehall Trojans.
The Trojans started off strong in the first set, leading the Bulldogs early on. But a good timeout by Coach Bleile got the Ladies back on the tracks, and they would win this set 25-13. The 2nd set was a great one for the Bulldogs as they really started hitting their stride. They won this set easily, 25-8. The Lady Trojans mounted a late rally in the 3rd set, making it interesting. But the Lady Bulldogs hung tough and won the 3rd set 25-20, sweeping the Lady Trojans in three straight.
Good job Ladies! You're off to a great start!

Bulldog Football hosts Missoula Loyola

The Bulldogs squared off against the Rams Friday evening in probably the highest scoring game I've ever seen them play. It started right off the bat with the Bulldogs Jones Tufflemire running back the opening kickoff for a touchdown. But the Rams would answer right back on their very first play from scrimmage, as Rams QB Andrew Richardson hit WR Ethan Lamb for long touchdown. The whole first quarter the two teams just traded touchdowns, and Loyola led 22-21. But the Bulldogs defense stiffened a little in the 2nd quarter, and the offense scored even more points! The Bulldogs led 47-28 at the half. I think both teams must have gotten tired in the 2nd half, as both teams only managed two touchdowns each. The Bulldogs won it going away, 63-36! Outstanding job, gentlemen!!

BHS Volleyball vs Three Forks

The Lady Bulldogs opened up their 2026 season with a home opener against the Lady Wolves. These two teams seem fairly evenly matched, as each game was fairly close. But the Lady Bulldogs managed to win it in 3 sets, 25-23, 25-13, and 25-16. That's a good start Ladies!
The Lady Bulldogs will play another home match on Saturday afternoon, so come on out and cheer them on!

BHS Football vs Colstrip

The Bulldogs opened their 2026 season this afternoon, hosting the Colstrip Colts. And in spite of a 45 minute weather delay in the 2nd half, they managed to get a complete game in.
The Bulldogs looked to be firing on all cylinders, playing very good on both sides of the ball. They scored early and often in this one, and the defense shutout the Colts offense. The Bulldogs won this one easily, 42-0. Good job, guys!

Poster Time

It's that time of the year again! I am taking orders for Fall Sports posters. If you would like a poster of your favorite Varsity Student Athlete, then please respond to this post with a comment. Let me know their name, sport, and jersey number if you know it. Responding to this post is a tremendous help to me in tracking my poster orders, and in alerting you as to when the posters are ready.
And yes, there are a few of you out there who have told me to "just do a poster of every sport my kid is in", but I forget who told me that, so ya'd better reply to this post, just to be sure!
Again, I am only doing posters of varsity players. They have to get enough playing time on the varsity squad for me to get enough good photos to make the poster.
Thank you to all who have ordered in the past! I look forward to capturing more special Bulldog memories this year!
GO BULLDOGS!

Townsend Fireworks 2026

I finally got around to doing something with a few of the fireworks photos I took on July 4th. This is a composite photo of what it might have looked like if you had been standing on Crimson Bluffs that evening.
I took the fireworks photos from my roof that night, thinking I could stitch some together from that, but it didn't work out. So I went down to Crimson Bluffs a few nights ago at dusk and shot the individual photos for the pano background. I realize that a pano is hard to see properly on Facebook, but that's what I came up with.
Let me know what you think!

July 4th Parade 2026

There was a great turnout today for the 4th of July Parade! Isn't it great to see people celebrating our great country?! We should all be proud to be Americans!
I captured a few photos for posterity. I am not even going to try to identify everybody. But I'm sure you know who you are!

HAPPY 250th AMERICA!!

BHS Graduating Class of 2026

I apologize for the lateness of this post! I have been trying to post these photos since yesterday evening, but Facebook apparently thinks I am spamming. I did manage to get the photos posted this morning, but it will not allow me to type in the names on each picture! I will keep trying throughout the day.
But anyway, congratulations to all of you guys and gals! And congratulations to you parents and Grandparents as well!

BHS Track & Field at the State Meet

The Bulldog Track & Field team State qualifiers traveled to Missoula for the State Track Meet this weekend. This is such a cool event to go kinda be a part of! The fact that I have a camera allows me to get up close to the action, and to interact with a bunch of really great kids! I gotta tell you, that was money well spent on that camera!
There are so many great stories that usually happen at State, and this one was no exception. Most often it is not so much that you won or lost, it is more about doing your personal best and achieving a new PR (Personal Record) There were a number of those happening!
Trace Giomi achieved PR's two throws in-a-row in Discus and took 1st Place! Gavin Green PR'd in the 3200M. The Girls 4x100 Relay team of Holly Newman, Elaine MacDonald, Aspen Slyker and Kaitlyn Noyes PR'd, setting a new school record, and took 5th Place. Some PR's are a little more than personal records, though. Some PR's are SR's! That would be State Records. And for the 2nd time in her high school career, that is what Kaitlyn Noyes did in the Long Jump! On her very first jump, Kaitlyn went 18 feet and 9.75 inches to set a new Class B state record!
And don't forget Kyla Meissner who didn't even know if she was going to compete until the day before the meet! Kyla had an injury that kept her from running for the last month of the season and didn't even think she was going to get to participate this weekend until a last minute second opinion cleared her to run. She responded by taking 4th place in the 1600M and 1st place in the 3200m! I'm sure there were probably others that I did not find out about. And I apologize for missing a couple of the Awards Podium photos opportunities! And I especially apologize to those I did not get a picture of!!!
Overall, the Girls team came in 5th Place, and the Boys team came in 13th. Saturday was a cold, kind of miserable day weather-wise, but it was exciting nonetheless.
Thank you, Bulldogs, for representing your school, and our community, so well! And thanks to all of the coaches for all of their hard work!
