Madi Taylor is a full-time Northern Michigan, Traverse City based photographer, but also works as the current contracted photographer for Downtown TC's marketing. Also formally known as the photo intern for SVSU Communications. Offering services for professional portraits, seniors, college grads, families, couples, weddings, events, & more! It is very important to know who you are working with and

why I may be the right fit for taking photos of you! Besides I am about to have you smiling for a few hours when you book me. :) I was born and raised in Traverse City, Michigan. I have always been a photographer at heart, my whole life I have always been obsessed with capturing memories. Growing up in such a gorgeous region really grew my interest in taking photos of nature and sunsets. My inspiration sparked from my mom's hobby with her canon camera when I was a child. I picked up her camera around the age of 10 and started to practice with it. Being self-taught meant learning settings through trial and error while practicing with friends, this was a part of the learning process that helped shape me into the photographer I am today. My outgoing personality has allowed me to make new friendships with my clients and continue to grow my business. Some fun facts about me is that I love plants, chai tea, and travelling! In 2020, I finally put my photo work public since it has always been my favorite thing to do. At the time I was trying to decide on my major and focus on my talents; therefore I started offering services during my junior year of college. Along with my passion for photography, I majored in Marketing with a minor in Advanced Spanish at Saginaw Valley State University and graduated Dec 2022! For professional development for a four year period I was the former social media marketing specialist and content creator for multiple stores downtown; a rare unique plant shop, and a shop that features over 100 local Michigan Makers and marketing their small businesses as well. In regards to professional photography, I have gained 2.5 years experience through Saginaw Valley State, as their intern photographer. Currently, since March of 2023 I have contracted with downtown TC for the photo and social media marketing of my hometown. I love what I do because it has allowed me to meet new people, capture memories of others, and also help other small businesses succeed. For any inquiries please reach out through my website!

Grad season spotlight: 🎓 It's time to meet another grad from last semester: Gabbi Matuszewski received a Bachelors Degree in Laboratory Science. 🔬🧫 I was able to connect with Gabbi a semester after graduating and post grad is treating her well. She accepted a position as a medical laboratory technologist at MyMichigan Medical Center in Midland, MI and has been loving it as well as learning a lot in the past 4 months! Congrats Gabbi, I am SO happy for you and all the amazing things you are doing within the tri-city area. 🙂

It's grad season... 🎓 and I can't wait to be back on campus this weekend. I wanted to make sure to introduce last semester's grads from December of 2023. It's time to meet the grad: A big congrats to Gabi Adamczak for graduating with a Bachelors in Criminal Justice with a minor in Political Science! I was able to connect with Gabi a semester after graduation, and she is happy to announce she moved to Kentucky and accepted a role as a probation and parole officer! 🎉 SO proud of you Gabi!

Catching up on sharing all the wonderful sessions I had this past season 🖤 What a gorgeous moment this one was. Ellie's family had kept Ahmed’s hidden surprise from her. Ellie’s family normally vacations up north every year, but now northern Michigan holds even more memories, a proposal at the top of Empire Bluff! A big congrats to these two! 💍
