Have I mentioned how much I love my job? 🥹🌿🪐

I met Alison and Spencer about 12 hours before these photos were taken. I had to check back in our messages to make sure I remembered their names correctly before I saw them again. 🤭😂

We met Friday afternoon at my retail job in town, and they excitedly mentioned they were getting married the next day. They also brought up not having a photographer after some issues with who they had originally planned on…

10 minutes later, we’re exchanging phone numbers, and these Traverse City tourists suddenly had their Cherry Republic gift store cashier as their wedding photographer!

Their wedding day truly reminded me why I love what I do. They had a gorgeous first look (look at that view!) and had the entire beach to themselves to share their love in front of their closest friends and family.

Alison and Spencer, I’m so incredibly happy for you and I’m so honored to be a part of your big day. God’s timing is a funny thing, isn’t it? 😉🤭

These two came to visit Nate and I for the weekend, and I’m so glad the weather was nice enough to get a shoot in! These goofballs were a blast to work with, not that I expected anything less!

Mr. and Mrs. Jones! 🌿

I am still in awe over Mikayla and Owen’s wedding yesterday. God brought so much peace and joy and love into this celebration, and it was the biggest honor to be alongside them to capture it all.

My first wedding in three years was pretty dang special. 🤭

Praying for more sunsets as beautiful and last night’s and more couples as sweet as Mikayla and Owen.

Going out to where they had their very first date, we explored the beach for their engagement photos last night. After this session, I’m even more excited to be with them on their wedding day… just WEEKS from now!

It blows my mind how so much beauty can come through the biggest heartbreak… 🤭

I was finally able to get back to work with my first session in over a YEAR, and it felt SO good to be back behind my camera. I’m much more comfortable there than in front of it (see my goofy attempt at a self portrait a few posts back 🤪)

Hanging out with Sarah and Jesse truly made it even more special.

Sarah was one of Nate’s nurses during his cancer treatment and transplant. We saw her nearly every day, and she because such a wonderful friend to us. We were surprised us with with the SWEETEST little gifts to decorate the room with and make us feel as at home as possible.

Jesse, I was able to meet for the first time a few weeks after Nate was transferred to a new hospital. They happened to be in the same city for a weekend, and they stopped by to drop off an entire gift basket! It was raining SO hard, so by “meeting” Jesse… I mean we waved at each other through the car window as I sprinted back into the building 🤣 (Check out the last photo to see our selfie from that day!)

Seeing their smiles outside of those hospital walls made my heart so happy. Nate and I would do anything to change our reality, but so many beautiful people have been brought into our lives through it all.

It’s so crazy to think we met some of our favorite people in the most difficult season. Has anyone else met their best friend or favorite person in a crazy, unexpected way?? Doesn’t it make the relationship feel even more special? ☺

LONG TIME, NO POST! 🥳

After a long, crazy, busy year and a half, I’M BACK! I have been working my b***y off to rebrand and make sure my biz was ready and better than ever for all of you!!

❊ an attempt at headshots… 🤣 my awkwardness in front of the camera is one thing that has not changed

I’m slowly starting to accept more sessions to my calendar. If you’ve been wanting to book an engagement or adventurous couples session with me, NOW is the time!! Let’s celebrate our freedom out of quarantine! 😷🥳

I haven’t shared much about the last year on this page, but I wanted to express how much everyone’s love and prayers have meant to Nate and I. I’ll be sure to share more about our crazy life over the next few days, as well as NEW SESSION PHOTOS! 🤩
