We’re almost to a decade…officially. 9 years today, a whole lot longer than that since our story began. These days are long and short, messy and wild, and I still feel like the luckiest girl in the world.

These guys joined us in the 3 kid chaos just one day before our Rocky was born! I’ve captured each of their babies, so getting to wear Rocky while I captured their sweet GIRL was an honor and a gift. She’s so loved by her 2 big brothers and her pups!

Over here keeping newborn sessions easy and embracing any and all chaos, just trust me 😉

This is the time of year when MI winter is no longer showing off - and everyone wants to update their headshots, kids personality portraits, and more. We’ll have no fear - I’ve recently found a studio I am SO excited to work in, right here in TC. I’ve got one studio day coming up where I’ll be offering mini sessions and regular sessions, and plan to offer at least a few more days this coming spring. This app has become more of a time suck and anxiety inducer than a benefit lately. I don’t feel totally comfortable as a photographer posting other people’s lives anymore because the AI monster is stealing everything. Scrolling is taking my eyes away from my babies, my focus, and my Jesus. Thanks to a dear friend encouraging me, I’m going to take some time away from this app to adjust my view. To shoot more film. Read my pile of books. Look into my baby’s eyes. To pray. Be present. I believe love is stronger than hate, and that Jesus is coming back soon to save this broken world. We’ll never fix it - we can’t. That’s why we need a Savior. We’re in a time when the Gospel is often misrepresented, but above all, “For God so loved the world, He sent his one and only son, and whoever believes in him shall not perish but have everlasting life.” John 3:16.
LOVE. We all need more of it. Go be it.
