One of the things I love about documentary wedding photography is the opportunity to capture every part of the day is it naturally unfolds. Sometimes that looks like enjoying a mimosa from the makeup chair and sometimes it looks like fishing from the dock. The reality is that it’s your day, and you can structure it however you want. I just got back from a week in the sun, and although I would argue it wasn’t long enough, it was such a wonderful time spent with family and friends, getting some much needed rest and refreshment.

And now it’s go time! The 2026 wedding season is quickly approaching, and I’m so excited to celebrate so many amazing couples soon!
