As I sat in the hospital, going over pictures with my dad on what I should submit for this contest, our love for lighthouses made us choose this photo I took many years ago. On Tuesday I lost the man who shared his passion and love for photography with me 💔 who showed me how to find the beauty behind the lens, and the courage to share it with the world ❤️ The following day after his passing, I found out I had won ❤️ this is such an honor, and I know dad had s much to do with it 🥰

There is something special about seeing Northern California through someone else's eyes. ❤️
I had so much fun playing tour guide while my friends were in town! We explored the incredible Shasta Caverns, enjoyed a delicious lunch at Yaks in Dunsmuir, wandered to the beautiful Hedge Creek Falls, and wrapped up the day with one of those unforgettable Northern California sunsets that never disappoint 🌄
