✨Before & After✨
Before I even tackle the image in post- production, In camera, I prefer to underexpose my images rather than overexpose, here’s why: it’s easier to bring back details in the shadows and midtones than from overblown highlights. This also helps with capturing the sky and cloud details. Once the highlights are overexposed, the data is lost and impossible to recover post-processing.
Underexposing allows you to lower the ISO, therefore lowering the amount of noise in the shadows.
Once I take the image into Lightroom and Photoshop, I add my presets, fine-tune skin tones, crop, lighting, details, and blemishes and any other fine tunes. It’s not just one click of the camera and voilà, it’s steps to get the shots and then creating magic in post-production.
