Portland In-Home Newborn photos with me aren’t about a Pinterest-perfect house or babies in bunny ears. They’re about honoring your lived experience as a new parent. Because when your baby outgrows the tiny onesies and starts sleeping through the night (what’s that?!), the thing you’ll want to remember most is how this baby felt in your arms.

My newborn sessions are easy, relaxed, and baby-led. I’ll gently guide you into the best light and natural positions. Lots of cuddles, and plenty of sweet details. Baby’s sleepy? Wide awake? Crying? All perfect. Siblings running wild? No problem. There’s no timer and no pressure. This session is for you.

Personality Portrait Micro Sessions are next week! Saturday March 7 and Saturday April 18 in Troutdale.

The point of these portraits is to capture your child as they are, naturally and comfortably. No forced smiles, no awkward poses. We’ll just be using a solid backdrop and your wonderful child’s vibrant personality!

$75 per time slot, and it includes 3 high-res digital images. I can usually fit 2 kids into one slot. Will always try to get siblings photos too!

Newborn photos in my world aren’t about bundling your baby up in bunny ears or making them sleep and then tucking them into a basket. Cute, sure, but not my thing.

With me you’ll get a newborn photo experience that treats your baby like the dignified little person they are. We’ll respect their needs. You’ll give them lots of cuddles. Maybe we’ll wrap them in a cozy blanket, because who doesn’t like to be cozy. Sleepy? Great. Wide awake? Also great. Crying? We’ll change up the position. Older siblings need to run/snack/wiggle/scream? No problem, let them go do their thing while I photograph baby alone for a few.

Taking a break from the newborn photos to ask for more family sessions with horses in 2026 please. I’ve never been a horse girl (understatement - I grew up in the city, my parents didn’t drive, I found hay bales kinda exotic well into my 20s) but I loved this session so much and I love seeing little kids so confident and capable. (Also I’m currently reading Horse by Geraldine Brooks so I guess I’ve got horses on my mind.) Okay? Thanks.

“NOT baby, BIG BOY! Brother is baby.” This is not an original thought but god please stop growing up and also god I love watching you grow up. Parenting is such a trip. P.S. these are not my babies they’re my friends’ babies from a while back but the vibe is real familiar in my home lately.
