✨ EXCITING ANNOUNCEMENT! ✨

I am SO excited to finally share with y’all that I will officially be opening MY OWN STUDIO in downtown Ozark! 🥹🤍

This has been two years in the making, and honestly, there have been so many times that I wondered if this dream would ever become a reality. When I first started Laura Long Photography, I knew I wanted to build something special, but I never could have imagined where this little business would take me.

From starting out to where I am now, this business has grown right alongside my babies, through some of the sweetest seasons of life and some of the hardest ones, too. And now, I’m stepping into a whole new chapter that feels a little surreal to even type out.

A space of my OWN. A place where I can welcome mamas and their babies, photograph growing bellies and tiny newborn details, celebrate those first birthdays, and create the kind of images that become part of your family’s story for years to come. 🥹

And getting to do it right here in downtown Ozark makes it even sweeter!

There is still SO much to do before I can officially welcome y’all in, and I’ll be sharing more of the process as we go. But I couldn’t keep this to myself any longer!

If you’ve ever booked a session, shared a post, recommended me to a friend, or simply cheered me on from the sidelines, THANK YOU. Truly. Every bit of support has helped get me to this point, and I don’t take that lightly.

5 years ago today, I became a mom, and it was the scariest day of my life.

My biggest boy entered this world with a bang, and here we are a whole 5 years later, and he is STILL keeping us on our toes. 😂

He is my Energizer Bunny, my kid with no chill, but also my cautious and calculated one. He is so incredibly smart and amazes me every single day with how his little brain puts life together. His little mind is always working, always asking, and always noticing things, and I swear there are times he says something and I just look at Landan like… where did this kid come from?!

But underneath all that energy and all those big thoughts is the sweetest, most tender-hearted little boy. He loves so deeply, and watching him grow into the little person he is becoming has been one of the greatest privileges of my life.

And today, SOMEHOW, my baby is FIVE.

Five. Whole. Years.

Five years ago, he made me a mama. Five years ago, I held this tiny little boy and had absolutely no idea just how much he was going to change my life. I didn't know then that he would teach me more about love, fear, strength, and gratitude than I could have ever imagined.

He was my first everything.

He was the first little hand I ever held and the first little face I searched for in the middle of the night. He was the first baby I rocked to sleep, the first little voice to call me “mama,” and the first person who showed me just how much love one heart could possibly hold. He was my first sleepless nights, my first little milestones, my first birthday parties, my first “I love you,” and the first little boy who made me realize just how quickly time could pass.

And even though he is getting entirely too big entirely too fast, there will always be a part of me that looks at him and sees that tiny baby who made me a mama.

Reid, I hope you always know how incredibly loved you are. I hope you never lose that curious mind, that huge heart, or that little spark that makes you, you.

Happy birthday to my baby🥹

3 years ago today, our family grew by one little boy who brought a whole new kind of chaos into our lives, but somehow brought even more love with him.

There’s just something about that second child. They come into a family that already has its rhythm, its routines, its chaos… and somehow they change everything without you even realizing how much you needed them.

Whitt is my calm in the middle of the storm. He is quiet, stubborn, goofy, impulsive, and completely fearless. This kid will climb absolutely anything and is absolutely willing to launch himself off something he has no business climbing in the first place. 😂 He is my little daredevil, and half the time I’m just standing there wondering how we got here.

He is also quite possibly the clumsiest child I have ever met. This kid will literally trip over his own breath. 😂 And somehow, that same little boy has the softest heart.

He is incredibly loving and tender. He is the one who notices when you need a hug, crawls into your lap just because, and gives the sweetest little kisses. He somehow always seems to know when someone needs a little extra love.

And this boy is the BIGGEST mama’s boy. 🥹 No matter how brave or adventurous he is, there is still nothing better to him than being right beside his mama.

He is stubborn as a mule, quiet but if you make him mad, God help us, and somehow manages to keep us laughing every single day. He has a personality that is completely his own, and I hope he never loses any of it.

Whitt, you came into our lives and changed them in all the best ways. You brought more laughter, more chaos, and more love than I ever could have imagined.

You are so completely and wonderfully YOU, and getting to watch that little personality unfold has been one of the sweetest parts of being your mama.

I hope you always keep that goofy little smile. I hope you never lose your adventurous spirit, your stubborn streak, or that tender heart of yours. And more than anything, I hope you always know just how deeply you are loved.

Alright guys, I’ll be taking the weekend off to celebrate my babies. 🤎

My boys were born a day apart, so we’re celebrating their birthdays with family tomorrow!

I genuinely cannot put into words how hard it is watching my babies grow up. I LOVE seeing them become the little boys they are, watching their personalities come out, and seeing who they’re becoming...

But it is also SO heartbreaking knowing they will never be this little again.

Like, excuse me?! Who gave them permission to grow up this fast?! 😭

SOOOO... get ready for some sentimental posts this weekend because I will be ALL up in my feels. 😂🥹

If you don't hear from me, it's because I'm soaking up every ounce I can of my boys and enjoying some quality time with my family. 🤎

Well... Mother Nature has officially won another round. 😩

After watching the forecast all week, I've made the decision to reschedule this weekend's fall minis.

I know this isn't what anyone wanted to hear, especially after having to reschedule last weekend's sessions. I know how much time and effort goes into planning family pictures, so I did not make this decision lightly but everyone’s safety is of the utmost importance.

I want you to get the beautiful fall pictures you signed up for, and unfortunately, the weather just isn't cooperating with us this weekend.

I will be reaching out to each family individually with the new date and all the details.

Thank you for being patient with me while we try to dodge this crazy Alabama weather. 😂

Praying for everyone’s safety during this storm.

Also a thank you to everyone who has called, texted or reached out in anyway regarding Whitt. He is doing great and we are just trying to keep him calm and from climbing everything in site. 🫠

Just a little heads up for tomorrow:

My youngest baby is having surgery, so I will be completely out of pocket for the day while I’m with him.

If you message me, send an inquiry, or are waiting on a response from me, please grant me some grace over the next few days. I will get back with you ASAP, but tomorrow, my only job is being his mama.

I do ask that you shower us in prayer because this mama is very anxious to get this over with. 🤎

And because apparently Alabama weather likes to keep me on my toes, I am also watching this weekend’s forecast like a hawk. As of right now, we are still on schedule, but that is subject to change pending the stupid weather. 😂 I will keep everyone updated as we get closer and will reach out individually if anything needs to change.

Edit: Saturday sessions are officially canceled. Check your texts! I have reached out to everyone and will get back with yall on the rescheduled date this weekend.
