Throw back to the Camp Groundworks Tucson launch party on 08/29 featuring Kate Ewing + tbd + School of Rock-Tucson + genuinely the coolest live visuals by Liquid Sight who I wish could just project into my head 24/7.

Yesterday was strange. On the one hand, the grief and pain was pervasive and palpable. Everyone there, regardless of how close they were to Vincent or Cameron, felt and expressed it. But something that was expressed and showcased louder was solidarity. The uniformity grief gave the crowd a sense of collective understanding that I donโ€™t know how to convey in text. I donโ€™t have answers, and I am trying to help amplify voices much more deserving than mine however I can, but I hope youโ€™ll allow me this small post. The first photo is of the vigil outside of Venture โ€”> N just before the gathering at the park. The middle photo is, much to my shame, the only photo I got of Cameron. The last photo is of one of the speakers and the view from the podium. The background image is also of the vigil outside Venture โ€”> N with some folks who added their offerings to the collection out front.

Fantastic Negrito and ๐•ฎ๐–†๐–—๐–‘๐–”๐–˜ ๐•ฌ๐–—๐–Ÿ๐–†๐–™๐–Š and the G H O S T N O T E S put on a stellar show at La Rosa on 08/22. I need to sing the praises of the lighting techs because they made the absolute most of the space and put on some of the most consistently cool lighting displays Iโ€™ve seen in a while. Also shoutout to the sound team for making both acts sound phenomenal. If you havenโ€™t been to a show at La Rosa yet, it is imperative that you do so and soon.

I had aspirations of posting a whimsical and fun video earlier this week to signal me changing careers, but posting that video during the absolute maelstrom of stupid happening at my current role would have been in VERY poor taste. So instead, hereโ€™s some photos I found that Iโ€™ll be putting in my print shop (link in my bio btw) and Iโ€™ll be making a โ€œformalโ€ announcement on Monday about the new gig. I am stupidly excited to get started and hit the ground running. Part of that role necessitates me breaking my social media sabbatical so Iโ€™m back to harassing your timeline with artsy stuff and posting 8000 stories to my story ๐Ÿฅฒ

This is our last Hail Mary! We want to be completely transparent with all of you. We no longer have money to put into Lovinโ€™ Spoonfuls. The debt has just become too much. Itโ€™s not that no one comes in to eat, we do continue to have support, it is just not enough to cover the debt and expenses. The only way to keep going is to get rid of the debt and we have no more options. On that note we are throwing it out to the community if there is anyone or a group of people that just can not see Lovinโ€™ Spoonfuls go and want to put in their money and take it over. Sunday we will be at the restaurant from 4pm-6pm for any one is interested! Please no negative comments, we have really tried and made the restaurant go on longer than you think. We have met so many amazing people and this is really hard for us!

Had an absolutely delightful time at yesterday evening. The space is one that is both ephemeral and eternal. The aroma wafting up from the plate may last only a moment, but the memories pressed in the floors from the years of foot traffic are a hint at how long new memories made here will last. The down stairs is going to be an absolute gem in the already bejeweled speakeasy scene that Tucson seems to be flush with, and I cannot wait to go back. Iโ€™m still having phantom tastes of that pistachio affogato. 12/10
