Howdy folks! I can’t even believe I have to post this, but if you barge into our studio and step in front of another family and try to sneak cell phone photos with cowboy Santa ahead of people who have scheduled their appointments in advance, you will be removed from the property!

We are happy to facilitate walk-ins or get somebody on the calendar for a future date, but it is ABSOLUTELY unacceptable to cause a distressing scene in front of small children.

Rest assured, this individual is now on the naughty list! For everyone else, we can’t wait to see you this weekend 🎅🏻

Howdy folks!

We're happy to announce that Santa Claus will once again be returning to the studio this year for another round of Old West Santa Photos! Grab your kids and join us later this month for one of the most popular attractions Trail Dust Town has to offer!

We're doing things slightly different this year, and are offering TWO back-to-back weekends of Old West Santa photo sessions! We will have appointments available for you and your children (and pets!) to take photos with Santa Claus in our old time photo studio on:

Friday, November 21st from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM
Saturday, November 22nd from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM
Sunday, November 23rd from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM

Friday, November 28th from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM
Saturday, November 29th from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM
Sunday, November 30th from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM

Howdy folks! On March 3rd Trail Dust Town will be hosting their third annual Wizarding Out West event from 1:00 to 5:00 and we will once again be offering our special Wanted Posters for the event.

You are encouraged to wear costumes to the event, and we would certainly love to take photos of you in costume, but we actually had many customers last year who wanted posters in their regular clothing as well! (We are a cowboy themed studio so we won't have any themed costumes available for this event)

Posters will be $25 or $30 depending on the size (8x10 or 11x14) and there is no sitting fee!

Howdy folks! We want to let everyone know that Barking Iron Old Time Photography will be closed from January 22nd 2024 through the end of the month, and will be reopen for business starting February 1st. If you've been thinking of stopping by, you may want to consider doing that within this next week, otherwise we'll see you in February!

Hooowwwdy folks! Just dropping in to let everyone know that Barking Iron Old Time Photography will be offering double exposure Ghost photos during the Ghost Bar pop-up at Trail Dust Town!

Be sure to mosey on down July 21-23 and capture an homage to the earliest photography experiments ever captured on film, and enjoy some music and cold drinks while you're at it!

Howdy folks! The sun is out and the temperatures are UP so it's time to shift to summer hours! Starting July 1st (that's tomorrow!) we will be open Wednesday through Sunday from 6:00pm to 9:00pm for appointments and walk-ins!

One small exception to this will be at the beginning of August, we will be CLOSED on Wednesday August 2nd as well as the entire following week (9th - 13th) but starting on the 16th everything should be back to normal.

There may be a chance that we are open by the 12th to catch some weekend business earlier than expected, so keep your eyes on this space for any changes!
