Wedding week is getting closer, and we’re getting EXCITED! 💍🤍

The invitations are officially out, the RSVPs are rolling in, and everything is starting to feel very real.

One of the events we’re planning before the big day is a little Pickleball, Cocktails & Games get-together to welcome everyone and kick off the celebration. 🏓🍹

Emma even created these custom pickleball paddles and bag for the occasion, and they turned out SO good. 😍

Another episode of Keeping Our Wedding Under $10K 🎂💍

Today’s mission: wedding cake tasting… which might officially be our favorite part of wedding planning so far. 😂

We tried four different flavor combinations, took our responsibility as cake critics very seriously, and somehow managed to agree on a winner:

🍫 Chocolate cake
❤️ Raspberry filling
🍮 Caramel frosting

Sweet, rich, a little tart, and apparently the combination that ended the debate. 😂

Every little decision gets us one step closer to the big day—and we’re still doing our best to prove you can plan a beautiful wedding without completely destroying the bank account.

The invitations are officially OUT! 💌📬

After battling the Cricut, fixing the QR code situation, adding NFC tags, assembling everything by hand, and finally getting stamps on these bad boys… Emma & Marc’s wedding invitations are on their way. 😂

One more wedding expense checked off the list and one step closer to the big day.

💌 The invitations are FINALLY going out!

After designing, printing, assembling, fighting with QR codes, adding NFC tags, and putting everything together… we’ve officially reached the final boss of the wedding invitation journey:

STAMPS. 😂

When you’re trying to keep an entire wedding under $10,000, you start paying attention to expenses you never thought twice about before. And when you’re mailing a stack of wedding invitations, the cost of postage definitely adds up. 💸📬

But the envelopes are sealed, the stamps are going on, and our invitations are finally headed out into the world!

On today’s episode of planning a wedding on a budget… 💍😂

Emma found what looked like a great deal on her dream wedding shoes—until we realized the seller wanted $280 for a pair that had definitely seen better days. After a little searching, we found the exact same pair brand new for $355.

The lesson? Not every deal is actually a deal.

Wedding planning is equal parts excitement, problem-solving, and pure determination. 😅

After what felt like an endless battle with the Cricut, sticker paper that refused to stick, and our infamous QR code saga, we finally made it to invitation assembly night!

A huge thank you to Emma’s amazing girlfriends for spending the evening helping us fold, tape, stuff, and assemble every invitation. We truly couldn’t have done it without you. ❤️

And the QR code crisis? Officially solved. 🙌 With an NFC tag carefully sandwiched between two pieces of cardstock, our invitations now work exactly how we imagined.

A special thank you to the talented designer at Etsy, MJ Designs , for creating such a beautiful invitation design. It turned out perfectly.

And thank you to Cards & Pockets for the beautiful cardstock that brought everything together.

Maximum effort? Absolutely.
Professional invitation makers? Definitely not.
But for our first time… we’ll call it a success. 💍

Planning a wedding is equal parts excitement, creativity, stress… and figuring things out as you go. 😅💍

On this episode of Marcos & Emma’s Wedding…

Emma designed and printed our wedding invitations from scratch… only to realize every single one had a QR code that didn’t work. 🤦‍♂️

My solution? Hide an NFC chip inside the invitation so guests could simply tap their phone. Emma took that idea and made it even better—reprinting part of the invitation and carefully sandwiching the NFC chip between two sheets of paper for a seamless finish.

There’s just one small problem…

The custom paper we ordered won’t arrive in time for our planned invitation assembly night. 😬

Wedding planning has a funny way of reminding you that even the best plans need a backup plan. But we’re rolling with it, learning as we go, and making memories we’ll laugh about for years.
