In the Dolomites, Italy, near Passo Sella

One of our hotels was the Refugio Carlo Valentini, built in 1884, near passo sella. I got up before sunrise and walked up the hill in back onto a ridge. Looking one way was the view of the cabins and the Marmolada glacier. As the sun came up, I turned around and saw the sunlight illuminating the Torri del Sella, massive rock pillars behind me. I spent the next 30 minutes taking photos in both directions.
Camera was Nikon Z72, Lens Z 24-70,f2.8 at 35mm focal length. Shot at f11 for 1/8 sec., ISO 64

North of Rye, Az

Winter storm light over the Mazatzals โ„๏ธโ›ˆ๏ธ

Just north of Rye, AZ, a low cloud bank caught an eerie green glow as the ridgeline lit up gold beneath a churning winter sky. One of those moments where the storm made the landscape feel almost unreal.

Lake Havasu

One of the first wildlife photos I took 35yrs ago happened to be a dove resting on a powerline. I went out into the backyard waiting for Starlink to launch and was stunned when I saw this little fellow just chillin on the powerline. Had to take the shot. Thank you TPG for sharing this photo

New York City

I was in New York on a home exchange, staying at an apartment in Brooklyn. Everyday I walked two blocks to the river for the great views of Manhatten.. This is one of the many photos I shot. Fortunately, the day was clear and sunny.
The photo was taken on my Canon 60D with an 18-200 lens at a focal length of 50mm.
