Clients come in for headshots, and many stay to create timeless portraits. Here's an example of Teagan's session where she did both. I love the elegance of the portrait at top, and it can also double as a headshot for her successful business. The clean lines of the headshot with the solid white backdrop lends itself to incorporating text on business cards and other marketing materials.

All of my clients have such fascinating lives. Did you know that Alaine started the first vegan bakery in Los Angeles back in 1993? She is currently living in Tucson, still running a bakery and rescuing beautiful horses who need a home. Happy New Year, everyone! I am back from a long-ish sabbatical and am reconvening the sessions for the amazing 40 Over 40 Experience that I started several months back. I have started to choose the images for the Gala that will take place as soon as I have completed all of the ladies' photoshoots.

I took quite a bit a time off to focus on my health and have now returned and am ready to give YOU the best photos you've ever seen of yourself.

Sheri is a hospice nurse who was looking for some updated, contemporary images of herself. We spent time during her customized wardrobe consult selecting a variety of looks to achieve exactly what she was looking for.

After settling in with our hair and makeup artist for an hour for pampering, we had an artistic magazine-style session to create some gorgeous imagery for her, using different backdrops, lighting and posing to accentuate her best look.

I love to say, "Beautiful before, and still beautiful after!"

Did you know: Master retouching is included in the photography; and it is always exactly what the client specifies they would love. Can you see, all the texture in the skin is still there. It is still natural and all her. Professional lighting makes the difference in how our eye views the photograph. And what a difference professional photography and a little loving on my clients can make in the final result.

And did she love the final result?

Carla, makeup artist extraordinaire, has been working with me for several months to provide unparalleled service to both ladies and gentlemen for their portrait sessions.

I asked Carla, what motivates you to show up with enthusiasm for clients, and what do you find most fulfilling about it?
