Glute growth isn't just about lifting heavier.
It's about how long your glutes are actually under tension.
Time Under Tension (TUT) = the total time the glute muscles are working during a set.
That's why:
• Slow eccentrics increase glute fiber recruitment
• Pauses at end-range force the glutes to stay on
• Control > momentum (especially in hinges & squats)
• Tempo can drive growth just as much as load
If you want better glute development, stop chasing weight for ego. Chase intentional reps, longer tension, and clean ex*****on.
That's how we build glutes that are strong and functional. 🍑👏🏽
Ps: 420lbs me never thought I would post a video of me with my glute muscles contracting. I'm floored 🍑🫠
