Hey there. It’s been a bit. There’s been a lot going on behind the scenes that I’ve been processing and working on and waiting to share with you. And, well, the time is now.
It’s been almost two months since I announced that I was opening my books for spring. I did a giveaway and so excitedly got a few bookings! I had missed photography so much and was glad that I allowed myself to get back into it.
Then, my husband lost his job. So, what started as a for-fun and because-I-miss-it endeavor became a very necessary addition to our income over the past month while Kevin has been job searching. I cannot even begin to express my gratitude to you— whether you booked a session or you’ve just been supporting me here. It’s all been so valuable to me.
Now, my husband started his new job this week (yay!!), and I find myself wanting to schedule more sessions, to help you (yes, you!) make images to make sure that you see your beauty, celebrate your real life, and remember how you loved and were loved.
I am so excited about it that I made a simple website to share more of why I photograph the way I do and to allow you to book a session. It came together quickly and I poured out my heart, and I think that’s the best way to do this. With haste and heart.
So, this is my announcement: rejoicing about my husband’s new job, thanking you endlessly for support, and saying that I’m not going anywhere. Rather, I think I’ll stay here for a while. ❤️

PPS— this is an unrelated picture of us from Christmas Day in California, except for the fact that that trip felt like a new start, and there’s a lot of that happening around here right now.
