RIP sweet old man Jaxon π
I do a lot of end-of-life sessions and love how heartfelt they are. If you know me, you know how much I love old dogs. For a long time, I only adopted old dogs and even though we don't have them for long, they always bring enough joy to last a lifetime.
I photographed Jaxon (and his wild younger brothers) about a year ago, and we'd planned on doing another session this year. Sadly, Jaxon got a pretty dire cancer diagnosis and we had to schedule an ASAP session.
I got a text from his mom saying he crossed the rainbow bridge just a few days later and I cried along with her. Jaxon was a such great kid and I'm so happy I got to pet his big ol' head before he passed.
To Rochelle and to everyone else who has invited me in to be a part of their families through this silly little business of mine....thank you. I love your babies so much and I'm so honored to get to be a little part in their lives and yours. I never take it for granted what my job actually means.
