❤️ IT'S ABOUT MORE THAN THE MUSIC. 🎶
Every year, we spend months bringing together some of Tulsa's most talented musicians, organizing a night of incredible performances, and doing everything we can to fill the legendary Cain's Ballroom with people who love live music.
But sometimes, in all the excitement of putting on a great show, it's important to remind ourselves why we do this in the first place.
Our good friend and Leftover Last Waltz co-producer, Phil Clarkin, wanted to share a few words about something that's been weighing heavily on our hearts.
Our public schools are facing some incredibly difficult challenges. Funding shortages, limited resources, and uncertainty about the future are putting enormous pressure on the teachers, students, and families who make up the heart of our community.
And when resources become scarce, it's often the opportunities that help young people discover who they are that become the most vulnerable.
Music. Art. Creativity. Self-expression.
Think back to when you were a kid. Maybe there was a teacher who believed in you. A music class that made you feel like you belonged. An instrument that gave you a voice when you couldn't find the words. Or an art program that opened a door you never knew existed.
For some kids, those experiences aren't just extracurricular activities.
They're a lifeline.
They're a reason to show up. A place to feel accepted. A chance to discover a talent, build confidence, find friendships, or imagine a future they might not have otherwise seen for themselves.
We believe every child in Tulsa deserves those opportunities. Not just the ones whose families can afford them. Every. Single. Child.
And that's why The Leftover Last Waltz means so much to us.
Through our partnership with The Foundation for Tulsa Schools, we're able to turn something we love — bringing people together through music — into an opportunity to give something meaningful back to the next generation.
Last year, because of YOU, we raised $16,650 for this incredible cause.
We're proud of that number. But more than anything, we're grateful for what it represents: a community that believes in showing up for one another.
This year, we're asking you to show up again. ❤️

We hope you'll take a couple of minutes to listen to Phil's message and think about what music and the arts have meant in your own life.
Because somewhere in a Tulsa classroom right now, there might be a future musician, artist, teacher, or community leader who just needs someone to believe in them.
We can't solve every problem facing our schools. But we can do something. And doing something together is a pretty beautiful place to start.
Thank you, Tulsa, for continuing to believe in what we're building.
Let's make this one count. ❤️
