Due to weather, Day 2 started hours before its original schedule. At 6:05 PM, with only the 10k race left, a weather delay was issued until 9PM. Most athletes and coaches returned to their hotels, many fans left, and the media teams waited. At 8PM, the delay was pushed back another hour to 10 PM. At 9:30 PM the decision was made that the race would take place at 10:45 PM (no matter the weather). So, after over 4.5 hours of waiting, the 10k race began - in the pouring rain.

I say all of that to say how impressive runners are. The mental and physical strength it takes to do what they did that night is insane. To leave the track and wait, wondering if the race will even happen, only to return and run it hours later? Absolutely incredible.
