Vulnerable post ahead.

Today I found my very first business cards… and honestly, I got emotional.

This tiny little card took me right back to the beginning. Back to the girl who had big dreams, little experience, and absolutely no idea where this journey would lead her.

I actually started photography because I wanted something that felt mine. Something I felt I was good at. Something fun to do with friends. Something creative. Something that could make people feel beautiful and seen.

At the time, I never imagined it would become this.

I look at these now and see so much more than outdated branding or old photos. I see late nights. Trial and error. Self doubt. Learning as I went. I see the version of me that kept showing up even when I wasn’t sure I was “good enough” yet.

There were seasons I questioned if this would ever become something real. Seasons where I compared myself constantly. Seasons where growth felt painfully slow. Seasons where I wanted to quit. But somehow… I kept picking up the camera anyway.

And now here I am years later, still doing what I love. Still capturing your stories. Still getting trusted with your biggest moments. Still watching people light up when they see themselves through my lens.

It’s wild to think this little dream that started with a camera and a stack of business cards turned into something so meaningful to me.

And to the people who trusted me in the very beginning… thank you. Thank you for letting the inexperienced girl with the camera practice on you. Thank you for believing in me before I fully believed in myself. Those sessions, those shares, those recommendations, those encouraging words… they mattered more than you probably ever realized.

I think sometimes we forget to stop and look back at how far we’ve actually come.

So today I’m really thankful for the girl who started. Even when she was scared. Even when she felt inexperienced. Even when all she had was hope, a camera, and these tiny business cards. 🤍
