I used to drive in the Philippines, and honestly, people back home don’t always take traffic rules as seriously. 😅

When I recently went back to my hometown for vacation, I noticed something new—a traffic light! 🚦 Before I left, this traffic light didn’t even exist. So now that I’ve been driving in America, I’ve already adapted to the system: red means STOP, green means GO, and safety comes first! 😂

So there I was, sitting at the red light, patiently waiting… and my goodness! 😳 People were just driving through like the traffic light was only a decoration! Some didn’t even slow down! My reaction was literally, “WHAT THE HECK?! Are we all trying to meet Jesus today?!” 😂😂

I was sitting there watching everything like 👀😳, thinking, “Wait… do these people even have insurance?!” 🤣

But seriously, traffic rules are there not only to protect the driver but also everyone else on the road. One careless decision can change someone’s life.

I guess after living and driving in America, I brought the “follow the rules and stay safe” mindset back home with me. 😂🚦

Who can relate to this reaction?! 🙋‍♀️😂 Especially those who have lived abroad and then come back home to drive—suddenly your brain is like, “Hold on… THIS IS NOT HOW WE DO IT IN AMERICA!” 🤣🤣

Different place, different driving culture—but wherever we drive, getting home safely should always be the priority. ❤️🚗

Weekend is my favorite time because I get to cuddle my husband, go shopping with my daughter, and enjoy a meal together with my family. ❤️
Here in 🇺🇸, quality time can sometimes feel like a privilege. We barely see each other during the week because our work schedules are different—my husband works 1st shift while I work 2nd shift. And the truth is, once you stop working, the bills don’t stop coming. 😅
That’s why I believe in work-life balance. Work hard, take care of your responsibilities, but don’t forget to enjoy the life you’re working so hard for.

Don’t live your life just to pay bills. Work to live, love your family, make memories, and enjoy the little moments. ❤️

Because at the end of the day, the best part of life isn’t what we bought—it’s the time we spent together. 🥰🇺🇸❤️

I only noticed that NAIA offers luggage-wrapping services, which I think is actually very helpful for protecting our baggage.
We experienced this firsthand. When we picked up our luggage in Chicago before our flight to Manila, everything was still properly locked. But after our connecting domestic flight from Manila to Cagayan, one of our luggage locks had already been forcibly opened. 😔
Thankfully, nothing very important was stolen—only some chocolates and flask bottles. But honestly, it was still frustrating and disappointing. I was already so tired from the long journey that I didn’t even have the energy to report it anymore.
As a Filipino who has experienced traveling abroad and seeing how luggage is handled in other countries, encountering something like this back home is really frustrating. It makes me realize that we still have areas in our system that need improvement, especially when it comes to the safety and security of passengers’ belongings.
Lesson learned: next time, I’ll definitely consider having my luggage wrapped at the airport for extra protection. 🇵🇭✈️🧳

My vacation was short, but I made sure to make it meaningful and memorable. ❤️
We visited the learners of Sitio Dulyan, Talaingod, Davao del Norte, after a former teacher and tutor of my kids invited us. The journey was challenging—steep mountain roads, cliffs, and risky paths. At one point, my grandson even told the driver, “Uncle, ayaw pag-bunking diha kol kay pampang na!” 😂 But despite the struggle, we made it safely.
Meeting these children truly touched my heart. Some walk barefoot and travel from one mountain to another just to go to school, yet they remain eager to learn and grateful even for the simplest things.
I’m also grateful for the teachers who sacrifice so much just to reach and teach these children. 🙏
I may not have much, but I wish for more blessings so I can continue to be a blessing to them. Because sometimes, a small act of kindness can make a big difference. ❤️🙏

Hahaha, my mind wants to swim, but my skin is complaining about the heat! 😂🌊 While I’m in Michigan, I’m always dreaming of touching the water and swimming—but the water there feels like ice water! 🥶🤣

So, self… fix your mind! You can’t have both! 😂😂
