Josh and Olivia’s golden hour engagement session in State College, PA! 🌾

One of my favorite things to hear from a couple is “we’re not really photo people, but we’d love some nice ones.” Because that’s exactly where the fun starts for us. Being able to make that transition from stiff and unsure to comfortable and fun!

That’s the whole goal with every State College engagement session and wedding we shoot: candid over posed, comfortable over stiff, joy over stress. Josh and Olivia gave us the easiest kind of evening. Golden light some runnin around, laughing more than posing but still capturing that love for each other.

S&R’s wedding day was one that was just absolutely packed full of love and fun at the beautiful Fillmore Farm Cafe & Gardens in State College, PA, surrounded by family and friends who so obviously and truly cared and had so much love for these two. With a wedding party of 26 people, it was hard not to see the proof of such a supportive village. Incredibly classy and full of amazing candids that made our jobs feel so easy and fun — this is exactly why we love being a State College wedding photographer.

A beautiful day to celebrate these two and their undeniable love for one another. Throw in a little rain for good luck! Plus a perfect pause in the weather so we could get outside, make the most of our time with them, and create some moody, romantic wedding portraits and this day wrapped up perfectly!

We always love a sunny day, but when the forecast switches to cloudy and rainy, it’s reassuring to lean on our off-camera lighting skills to create something special for our couples, even when we’re limited to a single space. A rainy day wedding is never a problem — just another chance to make dramatic, romantic imagery. And it always helps to photograph at a venue as stunning as Marraras Mountain Lodge

When J first reached out to us for Penn state graduation photos and some couples photos she mentioned in her inquiry she was looking for “ethereal, warm, and romantic photos that also felt in motion.”

I think we nailed that. Such a fun shoot to end the Penn state graduation season on and transition into the wedding season. Which reminds me, if you’re getting married and I shot your grad photos it’s always been a dream of mine to complete the grad to bride transition. Hint hint😜

Needless to say after over 200+ grads shot across groups and individuals these weary bones need a rest for a week or so but then again.

You can’t keep someone from something they love. Guess I’ll just keep running with it. Kinda like these two.
