I have been absolutely amazed by the response to The Beauty of Now™.
This is a personal project I have been thinking about for quite some time, inspired by women I know, women I love, and women I have had the privilege of photographing. The women pictured here are among those who inspired the idea behind this project—models I have photographed over the years, women close to me, and, most personally, my own mother.
With a milestone birthday approaching, it finally felt like the right moment to create it.
What I never anticipated was how deeply the idea would resonate. The casting traveled far beyond my own community, with submissions and messages from models—and women who simply felt connected to the idea—from across the country and around the world.
I have been moved by the enthusiasm, the confidence, the stories, and especially by how many women want to be seen and celebrated exactly where they are now.
**Beauty does not diminish with age. It changes.** It becomes more individual, more interesting, more lived-in, more distinctly our own.
To everyone who applied, shared the post, encouraged someone to submit, or reached out with a kind word: THANK YOU. You have made this project even more meaningful than I imagined.
Casting selections are still in progress, and I'll contact selected models directly once the final group is confirmed.
Perhaps The Beauty of Now™ will become something more than this first project.
For now, I am simply very excited to see where it leads.
