A LEAP OF FAITH. A DREAM FULFILLED. ❤️
In 2020, I took a leap of faith.
I decided to go to school and train in school portrait photography. At the time, I wasn’t sure if it was the smartest decision. We were in the middle of a global pandemic, and there were so many unknowns. But I prayed, trusted God, and believed that the dream He had placed in my heart many years before was there for a reason.
I took the leap… and God took care of the rest. 🙏🏼
When the time came for me to step into this new chapter, Hickok Elementary and Sullivan Elementary were the first two schools to open their doors and give Monalisa Portraits an opportunity of a lifetime!
Yesterday, we completed our 5th year servicing these schools! 🥹❤️
Standing here with my team and the principals who believed in Monalisa Portraits from the beginning is something I don’t take for granted. They took a chance on us, trusted us with their students and memories, and have played such an important role in helping us grow and become successful in this part of our business.
Then, in 2022, Kepley Middle School (KMS) brought us on board, and in 2023, Ulysses High School (UHS) joined us too!
What started as a leap of faith during one of the most uncertain times became something I could have never imagined. Today, we have an incredible team, amazing school partnerships, and the privilege of serving so many students and families.
We absolutely LOVE serving USD 214! 💙
✨I wasn’t planning on writing such a long post, I just wanted to encourage those of you who might be on the fence of starting their own photography journey or business to take the leap of faith especially if you’ve been following my journey from the beginning 📸 do it!
