When I was a kid, I never would have dreamed that I would become a photographer. There are disposable camera film rolls full of peach fingertips to prove it. Needless to say, I’ve come a long way in the last 25 years! In that time, I’ve learned a lot of things that have become cornerstones of the way I photograph. Some of them are about the art itself, of course, but other things are about ways to
live life. So what do sessions based on those lessons look like? They look like creating authentic connections. We take the time to get to know you, to develop a relationship that goes beyond client/photographer. Some of my dearest friends are people I’ve interacted with from behind a camera. That bond will make you more relaxed in front of the camera, producing shots that are genuine and real. They look like telling the story of your life. Our sessions will be nothing like school photography, where you’re contorted into an uncomfortable pose, feeling that if you breathe, you’re going to ruin the shot. We want to see your heart. With us, there will be laughter, genuine smiles, and maybe even a tear or two as you interact with each other. We’re just lucky enough to capture those moments.
