This was the sweetest wedding. As I much as I adore the beautiful couples photos we take after ceremonies (what I mostly show on social media), the organic interactions with friends and family are the actual story. 💛 The pure joy from this day hits ya right in the feels.

Kelly + Roe 🎉

Ms. Monkey you have created such a special thing with . Truly. This is the first wedding I’ve been a part of that mentioned monkeyshining in the ceremony, FEATURED m a customized glass medallion (that was a surprise gift from a friend to add to their collection - they had it custom created and hid it in the cupcakes!!), but also where we actually went out monkeyshining as part of their portraits AND THEY FOUND ONE. A rogue, but a super special rogue that happens to have their new last name’s initial. It was so perfect it felt staged (but if it was, it was done impeccably. *Chefs kiss). Whomever created that piece (swipe to the last images to see!) should be so proud and know it went to the best possible people.

Also I’m obsessed with these colors and textures. It was all so gorgeous.

Summer is the BEST time for lifestyle family photos.

Picnics. Going out for ice cream cones with extra sprinkles on top. Playing at the beach. Making s’more’s with extended family (burn bans considering). Exploring one of our local state or national parks (some of which are closed or difficult to access in the winter!). Typically we have loads of warm nights with endless sunshine. ☀️

When you’re planning your family session, think about scheduling around what you want to remember about your life right now. Activities you love to do together (paddle boarding, going to the fair, visiting a farm, camping) and places that are special to visit… These are a really great way to set your family up to win with natural smiles and happy hearts for the littlest ones.

This orchard is so special, and it’s the perfect place to snuggle up on a blanket or have a picnic.
