Please excuse the blurry photo, this is what happens when we ask someone to take a photo with our camera but we have a bit of an announcement to make — if it’s not enough that we’re best friends, business partners, godmother’s to each other’s first born babes, we’re also now doing pregnancy together and due just a day apart. We’ve been a bit quiet the last few months but we plan on sharing a bit more till we pop out these future best friends, reach out soon for bookings as we’ll be closing up shop for a few months after the years end ❤️

Sophia and Garrett (part two) because the end of their session called to recreate the romance of their actual engagement when Garrett proposed on New Years. Sophia wanted a warm more romantic vintage feel for this set. When I sent her the gallery she immediately followed my message with “NO WAY I’m literally crying in the grocery store, Kari these are AMAZING” and needless to say, there’s no greater feeling than knowing you captured beyond what your clients dreamt their photos would be.

Sophia and Garrett are high school sweethearts and even though graduation came and went, they know one thing for certain- their love and commitment to each other will be the light along the way. What a fun time we had as o third wheeled to capture their fun and flirty connection.
What an honor to watch their love grow, and am so excited to meet the lucky puppy that will call these two paw parents.

Here is just a few of the engagement sessions that we submitted to one of our favorite wedding media publications. A very exciting time for us with bigger dreams coming to fruition all in divine timing. Celebrations will be in order this weekend since knowing our fine art has captivated two thousand humans (not robots since it was done organically) is a pretty big deal for us. Sam and Adrian didn’t want a big wedding. They wanted their people gathered together in one place celebrating their love. They surprised their guests with an actual ceremony, and oh did they celebrate. Love filled the house and I’m quite certain the entire neighborhood too.

As we started their maternity session, Mariana looked back at me and said “don’t take out my stretch marks… I mean, it’s part of this whole thing right?” “It sure is” i told her with a laugh and the biggest smile of approval.

I asked them to pick a favorite book off the shelf. Carlos quickly realized the shelving was a little off. As he admitted to their late night hustle to ensure the nursery was photo worthy. I laughed, and told him to do what he needed to do.

I’ve known these two since their engagement and there has always been a sensation felt in the room when he looks at her. This look filled with of unconditional love and admiration. The kind you expect on a wedding day, but as I’ve come to know, it’s a regular part of their life.

As he fixed the shelves in their daughters room, she stood back to watch and I saw her give that very same look to him. These moments are why, why I love what I do and why I love who I do it with.

As this session came to an end, the most perfect sunset glow crept in through a window “ok a couple more over here” i said.
When I showed her where to stand I could see confusion on her face, this it was an awkward small space. Being a long time client, she didn’t question a thing, just trusted my intuition and went with it. Trust us, we got you.
