Twenty years. Two decades. Thousands of moments that felt like they would last forever and somehow still flew by in the blink of an eye.

What started as a camera and a passion turned into a front-row seat to some of life’s most meaningful moments. From nervous first looks to packed dance floors, from quiet glances to unforgettable celebrations… I’ve had the honor of preserving stories that deserve to be remembered for generations.

Time moves fast. Faster than we ever expect. One day you’re planning your wedding, and the next you’re flipping through your photos wondering how it all went by so quickly.

That’s why photography matters.

Because when the day is over and the years keep moving forward, your photos are what bring you back. Not just to how it looked, but to how it felt.

This May, I’m trading in the comfort of my couch for a bike seat and taking on a 300-mile ride.

I’m riding to support the American Cancer Society and its mission to end cancer as we know it. It’s a big goal, and while my legs are doing the pedaling, I could really use some backup.

My fundraising goal is $250, which breaks down to less than a dollar per mile. When you think about it that way, each mile becomes something meaningful. A step toward better treatments, stronger support systems, and hopefully one day, fewer families having to hear the words “you have cancer.”

Along the way, I’ll be sharing updates, photos, and probably a few moments when I question my life choices between miles 120 and 200. But that’s part of the adventure!

There are proposals… and then there are moments that feel like they were pulled straight from a film.

This past Saturday at The Rookery Building, Sarthak created something unforgettable for Aparna.

With the help of close friends, the space was transformed into a candlelit dream lined with glowing candles, easels filled with handwritten notes, and canvases telling the story of their love.

As Aparna arrived, she was guided down a softly lit aisle where Sarthak stood waiting at the end, ready to ask the question that would change everything: Would you spend the rest of your life with me?

Our photographer, Rya, captured every heartfelt moment, from the quiet anticipation to the joy that followed, along with portraits that perfectly match the timeless elegance of the Rookery itself.

When it comes to iconic proposal locations in Chicago, few settings feel as enchanting or as opulent as the Grainger Hall of Gems inside the legendary Field Museum of Natural History.

For Rithin, only an extraordinary setting would do for the most important question of his life.

On the most romantic day of the year, Valentine’s Day, Rithin arranged exclusive access to the Grainger Hall of Gems, home to one of the most dazzling gem collections in the world.

As he and Sereena strolled through glittering displays of diamonds, sapphires, and emeralds, she paused at a locked case that looked slightly different from the rest.

Inside the display? Her engagement ring! Beautifully positioned among the museum’s rare treasures, it sparkled as if it had always belonged there until Rithin dropped to one knee.

Within a space filled with brilliance and history, Sereena said “yes,” creating a moment as radiant and timeless as the stones surrounding them. Just beyond the gallery doors, their families waited in anticipation.

After the proposal, we had the honor of capturing their engagement portraits beneath the museum’s grand neoclassical architecture, framed by soaring columns and soft natural light that perfectly mirrored the day’s elegance.

The Field Museum offers a rare blend of sophistication, storytelling, and architectural beauty, making it one of Chicago’s most unforgettable proposal locations.
