Hiiii! Pride is a few days away, and I love this month. I love the time with friends, I love seeing the joy and the love that the q***r community has for one another and seeing it on display is so special. It’s a joyous occasion that I know is a privilege to get to celebrate.

In college I took a class with that made me take 300 photos a week as an assignment… it really pushed me and changed the way I made photographs and sent me down rabbit holes of photographers I loved and wanted to emulate. Naturally, Shane still goes down as one of the best teachers I’ve ever learned from and of course one of the assignments he gave over a decade later has snuck its way back into my weekly routine. I think more than taking photographs it taught me about the act of noticing and I really hope it follows me the rest of my life.
