“I loved growing up with you and I look forward to growing old with you– reflecting back on a life we built together, and that we lived hard.” – from Henry’s vows to Phoebe 🥺
There is so much to say about these two & this wedding weekend (honestly still processing the bubble of joy we were invited into)– but let us just start by saying that there is something so different about this year’s celebrations. It has been so evident that we (collectively) no longer take for granted the pure and simple joy of being alive & in relationship with each other, the ability to dance and hug, to freely embrace all that is meaningful and *really* celebrate it. This simple posture of gratitude and presence is something we will always think of when we think of Phoebe & Henry’s wedding weekend, but it is also what has reignited our passion as storytellers of wedding days. We LOVE weddings not because of the glorious locations and pretty details (although those are amazing), but because they are a rare & incredible intersection of two people’s lives & stories, two families becoming one. They are days we get to slow down time, celebrate a couple’s journey here, encourage their journey ahead & (most importantly) lean into the gift of the present moment – to simply enjoy being together, to laugh and cry and embrace all the emotions that come, and gratefully pay attention to the gravity of the here & now. Phoebe & Henry (and their loved ones) knew this well. We loved looking around on their day and seeing so many people making up for lost time, drying tears over their heartfelt vows, taking film photos to capture the magic while remaining present, and *truly* leaving it all on the dance floor. All of their loved ones were deeply invested in their story and grateful to be a part of something so special, and Phoebe & Henry were bursting with joy at every moment- constantly sharing “this is wild!” belly laughs between all the hugs & deep breaths.
Phoebe & Henry, thank you– we are so grateful we got to witness & tell your love story. Your energy and passion for life, each other & your loved ones is beautiful & so contagious and we hope your wedding film is a forever reminder of the love within & around you always. Wishing you a lifetime of joy immeasurable, pasta dinners full of good company & some cute towhead babies along the way!
