My annual shoot has become something really special to me. It’s the one time each year where there are no client expectations, no trends I need to follow, no rules I need to fit inside. It’s just me, my camera, my imagination, and a story I desperately want to tell.
This year, that story was about fairies. 🧚♀️🌿
But I didn’t want to simply photograph someone dressed as a fairy. I wanted to create a world.
I wanted you to look at these images and feel like you had stepped through a hidden doorway into an enchanted forest. Like you had discovered something that wasn't meant to be found. Something beautiful, mysterious, magical, and maybe just a little bit haunting.
I think that's why I keep doing these shoots.
Photography is my way of creating the things I can't always find in the real world. It lets me take the strange little pieces of my imagination and turn them into something tangible. Something I can see, touch, and share with other people.
And honestly, I need that.
I need somewhere to put all the ideas that live in my head. I need to create just because I want to. I need to remember why I fell in love with photography in the first place.
Every annual shoot is a little piece of me.
This one just happens to be covered in moss, magic, and a little bit of fairy dust. 🧚♀️✨
Thank you to everyone who continues to let me dream, create, experiment, and make these strange little worlds with me.
This is why I create. 🖤
Shout out to all the ladies that were a part of my version. You showed up and showed out. Thank you for trusting my vision and supporting my art.
Till next yearrrrrrr.....
