True Emotions Photography

I woke up this morning feeling a sense of loss and I am sure it's because I am emotional about yesterday being my last day at the studio. My studio was like my second home for the last 16yrs, and the last couple of weeks were extremely difficult as it is hard to let go of something you loved and felt would be in your life for many more years, but I also didn't expect a pandemic to shut the world down and I know I am not alone as there are 1000's of other small business that just couldn't survive or recover from the months of having to be closed.
My heart broke with every photo I had to destroy and throw away, I was forced to get rid of so many things I wished I could have kept and meant a lot to me, but as I sit here this morning I know it was all just stuff and I have to be grateful for what is more important and that is all the beautiful memories I had there and the amazing people I have met and clients that will be my friends for life that I otherwise would have never known.
I am truly blessed to have been able to do what I love at the studio in capturing peoples special milestones and fur babies, I have specialized in many avenues of photography from, newborns, family, weddings, corporate, fashion, architecture, product photography, and as most know my true love of photographing animals, but what feeds my soul is being able to use my talent to help the homeless animals and that is going into animal shelters to take photos of the cats and dogs to help them shine and get adopted and to help rescue with fundraising with my photography so no matter what I will have my camera in hand, and I still want to do my book of 200 Chihuahuas which will keep me busy.
Although I will miss doing studio work and a place to call my own I can't imagine life not doing photography so I am not going anywhere but will just be doing what I love on location outdoors or at people's homes. There is even a possibility I may do a tour around the US to do photos and so I can finally meet the many friends on here I would love to meet and their fur babies.
Most of you know I have the two other side gigs that I do with Neora https://kimsaxelby.neora.com which is a skincare and health/wellness company and the pet CBD www.hemppetcbd.com that I am a huge advocate of and on a mission to educating pet parents of the numerous benefits. I love helping people and animals and that is why I will continue to share the products that I wholeheartedly know can help people and also their fur babies.
My reward is not so much the money but the success stories and testimonials.

I’m looking for people and their fur babies 🐶TO JOIN MY TEAM!!!!!

I am on a mission to help raise some well-needed 💵funds for the Rancho Cucamonga Animal Shelter 🐶🐱with their virtual dog walk on October 31st, 2020!🎃

Please share, share, share I know it is a large amount that I put as my goal but I'm putting it out to the universe🙏 that it can be accomplished!!!

Because I truly enjoyed creating this magical image of beeeautiful Shai who just made America’s Top Model for 2020 😍 I’ve decided I’m going to offer these sessions at a local park where I did this photoshoot and will be putting some other fun fairytale theme ideas together and if you can think of any let me know because I’m open to ideas 😊

I can finally share this image I have been anxiously waiting to post but we had to wait to see if the image was going to make it in the America’s Top Dog Model 2020 magazine and IT DID!!!!

And it not only made it but Shai is the WINNER of the America’s Top Dog Model 2020 and made the front cover!!!

We found the perfect spot at a park in Claremont,Ca for this whimsical shot.

As we know that due to what's going on in our world our kids that are High School Seniors are especially being hit hard with this difficult time as they are having so much taken away from them, No Graduation Ceremony, No Prom, No Grad Night, No Year Book signing and not being able to say Goodbye to their friends before they head off to college. Most of their entire life they are working for this one goal in school to have a Graduation.

I am seeing and hearing it first hand as I have a HS in the house so I have been thinking what can we do to help them and bring some light in this time where they feel like they are missing out on everything as a HS grad, I have pondered some ideas and one that I decided to do is offer mini Discounted High Grad photo sessions, just so these kids have at least something they can feel like they take with them.

Some have already had their photos done and many have not so I will be offering these session outdoors only and be using a zoom lens to keep my distance of 20+ feet away, sessions will be pre-paid via online or phone.

The masks if they chose can be incorporated to signify what was going on at this time in their life because I feel they make a huge statement and one they will reflect on and how they had to go through this difficult time but also persevered through it and came out strong. Mask orders will be posted soon.

I am still putting together the packages and making them affordable for the families so these kids can at least send announcements out to family and friends and have something to take with them and feel good about.
