Attorney and Former Special Counsel Jack Smith criticized President Donald Trump over pardons granted to individuals convicted for the January 6 United States Capitol attack, arguing they reward crimes committed in Trump’s name. Speaking on MS NOW, Smith warned the pardons send a troubling message not only to offenders, but also to law enforcement, stressing that support for law enforcement should never be partisan.
