Most girls show up to their session worried about posing.

Then about fifteen minutes in, they relax, start laughing, and quit overthinking every little thing.

That's usually when the best photos happen.

The goal isn't perfect. It's YOU.

Outfit changes are so a part of the process for senior sessions! My major tip is always to keep it versatile! Not the same exact colors, not the same exact silhouettes, be sure to mix it up! And always throw in a personality piece so you can really stay true to you! Lexi is adorable in every outfit she brought to the table and I loved seeing her shine!

Q: When should I book senior portraits?

If you’re local to South Georgia, I always recommend booking before December.

Once we hit January, everything around here starts to look a little… dead. The trees, the grass, all of it. And then by the time it’s pretty again, we’re already in mid-spring and suddenly graduation is right around the corner.

That’s when it starts to feel rushed—rushed to get on the calendar, rushed to get your photos back and print grad cards, etc.. and honestly, your experience ends up reflecting that.

If at all possible, getting your session done before Christmas of senior year gives you the best mix of good weather, pretty locations, and plenty of breathing room.

One of the biggest fears brides have before their wedding day?
That the day is going to feel rushed and stressful instead of meaningful.

That’s exactly why I care so much about helping my couples (and their families!) slow down, stay present, and actually experience the moments as they happen instead of constantly worrying about the camera.

Beautiful photos matter deeply — but so does how your wedding day actually feels while you’re living it.

If you’re worried about feeling awkward in front of the camera on your wedding day, I need you to know something:
Almost every couple says that to me.
You do not have to know how to pose perfectly or magically become “camera people” overnight.

My job is to guide you in a way that feels natural, comfortable, and genuinely like you — so your wedding photos feel real instead of overly performed.

If being fully present on your wedding day matters just as much to you as the photos themselves, I’d love for you to take a look at the wedding experience...

My studio is always an option—and honestly, it’s where we can get the most creative.

This space isn’t just for seniors. It’s perfect for ballet sessions, sports portraits, and anything that deserves a little extra intention and control. No heat, no harsh sun, no rushing to beat the light—just a clean space where we can slow down and really create something different.

Think:
• movement-focused ballet shots with soft, controlled lighting
• bold, dramatic sports portraits that feel powerful and polished
• simple, elevated setups that keep the focus exactly where it should be—you

If you’ve been wanting something a little more unique (or just don’t love the idea of sweating through your session), this is your sign.

Let’s get creative—inside.

*Can we just take a moment for how precious these images are? Mallory brought her first ballet shoes and first recital costumes to her studio shoot. Cue the tears as she just finished out her final dance recital season!

The best photos are almost never the ones where I tell y’all exactly what to do. They happen right after.

The little laughs in between. The way he looks at you when you’re not paying attention. The forehead kisses. The moments where y’all forget I’m even standing there with a camera. That’s why I’m not trying to turn your engagement session into one giant posing class.

Of course I’ll guide you the whole time, but I’m also watching for the little things that already make your relationship feel like yours.

Because at the end of the day, I don’t want your photos to just look pretty.
I want them to feel like y’all.

Your engagement session is not supposed to feel stiff or overly posed.
Really it starts with us just hanging out for a little bit.

We walk around, talk, get a few easy photos out of the way, and after a few minutes y’all are laughing and not even thinking about the camera anymore.
That’s when the good stuff happens. The in-between moments. The real smiles. The way y’all naturally interact when you’re relaxed and just being together.

By the end of the session, it usually feels way more like a fun date night with third wheel energy from me than some big stressful photo shoot.
Can I get an amen on that!?

Q: When should I book senior portraits?

One thing people don’t think about enough—your schedule.

Try to pick a time of year where life isn’t packed full of things you can’t control. Sports practices, games, school events… all of that adds up quickly.

The last thing you want is to feel stressed about missing something or rushing to make it to your session on time.

Senior photos should feel fun and relaxed. This is a big season of life, and you deserve to actually enjoy it—not feel like it’s just another thing on your to-do list.

*A grassy field, hazy sunshine and a cotton dress... absolute perfection. Haley, you were such a sweet senior to work with - thank you for trusting me with these shots of you!
